Two years ago, one of his biggest dreams involving the school came true when he became the voice of the Braves. Go to any sporting event at the school that has a public address announcer and you will find Charles Sommer.
“After graduating, I started doing the scoreboard for junior varsity and freshman football,” Sommer explained. “One fall, after I returned from Wisconsin, I asked if I could volunteer to announce the JV and freshman games and I did for several years.”
