When Larry Schmitt was in the second grade, Harrison Hill elementary physical education teacher Shirley Nichols wrote in his report card, ``Larry talks about hockey non-stop. I bet Larry could talk a puck into a net.''
She must have been psychic as Thursday night Schmitt will call his 500th game as the Komets' public address announcer.
``I'd love to find her just to go, `Hey, you were right,' '' Schmitt said. ``It's in the blood. It's the one constant in my life that makes you happy, so I go all right, I'm just going to keep doing it.''
