The Sacramento Kings made a little bit of NBA history Wednesday night.
For the first time in franchise history and, so the club claims, NBA history, the game presentation featured a female public address announcer.
Jaime Coffee, who announced games for the now-defunct Sacramento Monarchs of the WNBA between 2001 and 2009, was called upon to fill in for regular PA man Scott Moak, who was forced to miss his first game since 2002 due to illness.
"This opportunity to announce an NBA game is a dream come true for me," Coffee said in a statement provided by the Kings.
"To have the chance to fill in for a great announcer like Scott Moak and work in front of the best fans in the NBA is just incredible."
