One minute he is introducing the “bat person of the day.”
That’s the boy or girl who will help the Camden Riversharks players keep their bats and equipment in order for that particular game.
A few seconds later, he’s asking fans to welcome a teenager who is about to sing a song she wrote about fighting drug use in the inner city. He even helps her adjust the microphone.
Next, he’s welcoming a bunch of youngsters and their leaders from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Camden County.
Then it’s time for the announcement of the starting lineups and the introduction of the first pitch.
It’s all just another day at the office for Kevin Casey, the only full-time public address announcer the Riversharks have had in their 12-year Atlantic League history. read the story here
