Wearing a natty three-piece suit and a purple tie, Roy Steele
was back in the public-address booth at the Coliseum.
Steele, "The Voice of God," introduced the members of the 2002 team on hand for Saturday's celebration of the A's American League-record 20-game winning streak.
"It's just lovely," said the longtime A's PA announcer, who has been sidelined by health problems since late 2005. "It's wonderful to be able to come back and see all the same people are here, everyone in Diamond Vision, Mike Crowley, Billy Beane, Ray Fosse - they've always been so very, very nice to me." read the story here
