A familiar voice from the Toledo area is extending his skills to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Anthony Bellino, a 25-year-old Monroe, Mich. resident and University of Toledo Public Address Announcer, is the recent winner of a competition hosted by the Jaguars to find the new voice for their franchise.
It was a close competition. The Jags decided to hire two finalists who were neck-and-neck for the position since the competition was so close, asking the runner-up, a Jacksonville native, to serve as a pre-game host.
Bellino has worked at UT for three seasons. He holds many other jobs as well, including announcing for the Toledo Mud Hens, the Toledo Walleye and the University of Michigan. Bellino’s voice can also be heard on the local radio station 106.5 FM The Ticket as a radio personality.
He is also involved with his hometown community by serving as head coach for two schools and, oddly enough, works as a fourth-generation butcher at his family’s grocery store.
Though it may sound incredibly hard to successfully juggle all of these positions, including his most recent with the Jaguars, Bellino plans to do just that. read more
