Turn down the volume at ESU Civic Auditorium

by Chad Buck - Emporia

I understand that a boisterous PA announcer and loud music is part of the current trend of “presenting” sporting events. However, another current trend is hearing loss among people of all ages. On behalf of the innocent fans attending these games (and on behalf of the not-so-innocent-staff), I request that the ESU employee handling the PA’s volume control lower it a few decibels to a more acceptable level. This would be beneficial to public health and would allow those seated near the ESU bench to more clearly hear Coach Moe curse during timeouts.
