The Gateway Grizzlies are proud to announce that Tom Calhoun will remain as the team's public address announcer for the 2011 season.
Calhoun has been a fixture at Grizzlies games since that team was founded in 2003. The Grizzlies also announced that the team's former radio broadcaster, Joe Pott, will fill-in on the public address microphone in a reserve role.
"Tom's as good as it gets when it comes to P.A. announcing," Grizzlies General Manager Steve Gomric commented. "We are lucky to have him and very grateful that he is coming back for another season. We are also lucky to have Joe filling in when Tom has other obligations. These are two quality individuals who have played a big part in the organization's success over the years."
