Budd Lynch, Red Wings long-time broadcaster and PA announcer, has died



Budd Lynch, a Detroit Red Wings icon who began his career with the organization in 1949 as a broadcaster, has died. He was 95.
Lynch, with his distinctive voice, served as the public address announcer at Joe Louis Arena since 1982.
The Windsor native joined the Essex Scottish Regiment of the Canadian Forces during World War II, when he lost his right arm in combat.  read more here
