He’s heard, not seen at OSU games - PA Announcer Bob Kennedy


COLUMBUS — More than 100,000 fans hear his voice at every Ohio State home football game.
His face would be less familiar and probably not recognized by many in that crowd, though.
But public address announcer Bob Kennedy has been part of game day for the last 10 Ohio State football seasons.
“I’m not sure that people know me by sight,” Kennedy says.
Like many of the football players whose names he calls, he got his big break when a starter wasn’t able to go.
When the previous announcer Dave Parr took a game off to observe Yom Kippur during the 2002 national championship season, Kennedy — who was doing Otterbein football games — filled in. full story here
