The Orem Owlz are in search for a new PA announcer and On-Field Emcee for the 2014 season. Tryouts will be held at the ballpark on Saturday, May 31st from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
The league is short season and will consist of 38 home games. The Owlz have won four Pioneer League titles (2004, 2005, 2007, and 2009) and play in a stadium that opened in 2005 with modern audio and media equipment. The PA Announcer will be the voice of the Owlz on game days.
The PA announcer will read directly from the game day scripts as provided by Owlz staff. Game day scripts will include cues for each inning, required text from sponsors, and in-stadium promotions. Game day lineups for both teams will be required along with announcing batters and in-game changes. The PA announcer must be quick on his/her feet, add libbing is preferred.
