PLAINVILLE - When Lenny Calderone was attending college in Miami, he got an internship at a nearby harness racetrack where they occasionally let him fill in as the public address announcer calling the races.
Twenty-five years later, Calderone is still at it. After leaving Florida, he got the job calling races at Plainridge Racecourse in Plainville and has been there since 1999.
But tonight, Calderone, 50, will announce for a much larger crowd as the guest public address voice at Fenway Park for the Red Sox game against the Kansas City Royals.
"I'll have some butterflies in my stomach. It's going to be a rush. Very, very exciting," the Coventry, R.I. resident said.
