"PA Announcing Middle Ground" from BRETT MYHRES blog

Last night marked the beginning of my 16th season as the girls’ basketball public address announcer at Rockford Guilford High School.

 It’s always a good time to get familiar again with the basketball, especially any new rules that have been put in place since last season. We were in between sophomore and varsity games, and I had just returned from my customary in-between game bathroom trip when one of the officials said to me:

“Are you aware of the new rules for PA announcers?”
