The Joliet Slammers announced today they’ll be holding open try outs for some jobs that can only be described in one word: fun.
All aspiring National Anthem singers, PA announcers, and mascot performers are invited to show off their skills. Those wishing to use their voice to entertain in a different way as the Slammers’ PA announcer should arrive at 10:30 a.m. at the south gate. The first round will consist of reading advertisements and other announcements. Then, when the Saint Francis double header starts at noon, those who advance past the first round will get the chance to announce each hitter.
