Paine College looking for the "Voice of the Lions"

Augusta, GA- The Paine College Department of Athletics will be hosting its first ever “Voice of the Lions” Contest, Saturday, October 22, at 2:00 PM. The contest will be held in conjunction with the College’s annual PaineFest event and will take place on the main stage.

The event is designed to audition and secure the public address announcer for Paine College’s men’s and women’s basketball games. The competition will feature celebrity judges and audience participation.

“Paine College Athletics needs a consistent voice as the public address announcer for its men’s and women’s basketball program” said Tim Duncan, Paine College Athletic Director. “If you have a golden voice, now is your chance to be heard by thousands of roaring Lions fans at Paine College home basketball games this year!”

“Voice of the Lions” contestants must be 18 or older to enter, and be prepared to address the PaineFest crowd, by reading two 30-second scripts.

Should you be chosen as the “Voice of the Lions”, a minimum five hour commitment per game day is required. Complimentary game tickets are among the benefits for the successful candidate.
