The “woohoos” and “day-Os” that Gastonia Grizzlies fans have become so accustomed to hearing might have never become part of the Grizzlies experience had Brian Rushing not had the courage to make a cold call.
Rushing, now in his fifth season as the Grizzlies’ lively public address announcer, had attended numerous games prior to getting the job.
