Jerry Hathcock, Voice of the Spiders will continue to speak

At a recent home football game, a Concord High player rolled off a long touchdown run covering more than three-fourths the length of the field.
While the play took probably 10 seconds, it took the public address announcer nearly the same amount of time to proclaim the glorious event.      
“Myles Neils takes the handoff and runs for an 82-yard Concord TOUCH-DOOOOOOOWN!!!”
With a three-second emphasis on “touchdown,” there rests the signature words of Jerry Hathcock, Robert C. Bailey Stadium’s longtime “voice of the Spiders.”   read more
