Dean Rogers, the Portland Sea Dogs public address announcer for the past 19 years, is resigning to take another job with the franchise.
Rogers, 65, began the same year as the Sea Dogs, in 1994. He said he was looking for a change, but does not want to walk away completely from the Sea Dogs.
"I just want to try something different," Rogers said. His wife, Sharon, works in the Sea Dogs gift shop and his son Mark is a statistician and message board operator during games.
