Nick Wiget is OK with the hectic travel schedule. He’s made six stops in a week as the public address announcer for the Harlem Globetrotters North American Blue Team Tour.
“I love sports,” said Wiget, a 1997 graduate of Wilmington High School and a 2001 graduate of Wilmington College.
Wiget landed the gig with the Globetrotters in February but his start was postponed. When he did finally get the green light, Wiget has been on a whirlwind tour of Florida and Georgia since last week.
“We tour seven days a week, that’s going to be the rigorous part of this,” he said. Wiget and the Harlem Globetrotters North American Blue Team Tour will end its schedule in April 24 in Alaska.
