Duke Athletics Seeks PA Announcers for Baseball, Olympic sports

DURHAM, NC. – Duke Athletics is seeking applicants for the position of baseball public address announcer for the 2014 spring season. Duke baseball features an exciting slate of games and the PA announcer will have the opportunity to work games on campus at Jack Coombs Field as well as off campus games at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

Qualified applicants should have significant PA experience, specifically within the sport of baseball. Applicants who wish to apply should submit a resume and voice sample to dukebaseballPA@gmail.com by September 1, 2013. Voice sample should be of lineup introductions, announcements, or sponsor reads, preferably from prior game experience. Applicants can contact the email address provided with questions or for a sample script. 

After review of the resumes and samples, applicants will be contacted with regards to the next step in the hiring process.  If hired, the PA announcer will be expected to work ALL Duke home games during the 2014 season.

In addition, Duke Athletics is searching for a public address announcer with a flexible schedule who could handle PA opportunities across multiple Olympic sports as they arise throughout the 2013-2014 year. Opportunities would include men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse, as well as wrestling and volleyball matches in historic Cameron Indoor Stadium.
