Nebraska PA announcer allegedly bilked elderly women out of more than $363,000

On Nebraska football game days, Memorial Stadium in Lincoln becomes the most populous place in the state.


And now the voice everyone hears during those games is accused of doing something really, really heinous. 

Lincoln police say Patrick Combs, who has been Memorial Stadium’s public-address announcer since 2002, bilked two elderly women — one of them with dementia — out of more than $363,000 using his power-of-attorney status. He has been charged with five felonies, including theft of over $1,500 and adult abuse, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.   read full story
