Class-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays The Lansing Lugnuts need a PA Announcer


JOB SUMMARY:
The PA Announcer is the in-stadium voice of the Lansing Lugnuts and is a crucial part of the entire in-game entertainment package at games . He/She must be able to mix audio on a soundboard, use software to execute sound effects, play music that enhances the fan experience, and read scripted promotional announcements in addition to announcing baseball related activities (batters, pitchers, etc.). The announcer must be able to multitask, keep up with the fast pace of the game and adjust as necessary. Radio station experience a plus, but not necessary. Club plays in Michigan.
This is a part-time position that will work all Lugnuts games, which may be on nights, weekends, or holidays.  The 2013 Lugnuts game schedule can be viewed at www.lansinglugnuts.com.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be available on to work all Lugnuts games
• Must be able to handle speaking in front of crowds up to 12,000
• Must be responsible and timely
• Must have a clairvoyant voice
• Must have high energy at all times
• Must be able to memorize short scripts and to ad-lib when necessary
 
START DATE:  April, 2013, however on-site training will be required well before this date
COMPENSATION: $55 per game
