SAN DIEGO - The San Diego Padres today announced the club will hold an open casting call for the next Petco Park public address announcer on Saturday, January 25, 2014. All fans are invited to audition for one of baseball's dream jobs.
Tryouts will be held at Petco Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on January 25, with would-be announcers auditioning on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry will be through the Home Plate gate on Park Blvd.
Semi-finalists chosen from the open audition will go through an interview process to narrow the pool. The group of finalists will then showcase their skills at FanFest on Saturday, February 8, at which point all fans will have the opportunity to help choose the Top 3 by casting their votes online and via social media.
