The Brampton Beast of the ECHL, proud affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens of the NHL and St. John’s Icecaps of the AHL are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic individual who is interested in being the voice of the Beast for the 2015- 2016 season. The Brampton Beast play out of the Powerade Centre, and you would be the main voice during all home games.
Duties
-Announce starting lineups, all game action, public address announcements, presentations, contests, and other duties as assigned.
-Work closely with game presentation and other staff to create a fan friendly and entertaining experience.
-Passion for sports and/or live events.
-Strong vocal talent.
-Strong knowledge of hockey, including rules and positions; specific knowledge of the Brampton Beast considered an asset.
-Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
-Comfortable announcing to large crowds of people on a microphone.
-Able to attend all home games and appropriate pre-game meetings.
-Experience working as a PA announcer in sports environment, live events, television, or radio preferred, but not required.
-Bilingualism is considered an asset. How to apply
