USA Hockey's National Team Development Program seeking game day public address announcer for the 2015-16 season

USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, a member of the United States Hockey League (USHL), is seeking a game day public address announcer for the 2015-16 season.



This position is a seasonal, game-based job that requires attendance at all home games. Pay is per game for roughly four hours of work. This is a highly interactive and intuitive job that requires thinking on your feet, reacting to fast-paced environments and being proactive.

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

Read game day script as prepared by the Director of Game Day Operations
Make situational announcements such as goals, penalties and other game action
Engage the crowd with energetic, bold, easy to understand announcements
Be able to adapt and react quickly
Writing script
Work with the game day operations staff to time actions and promotions correctly
Knowledge of the game of hockey, its situations and terminology
Learning Team USA and opposing team rosters, pronunciations and other team info
Finalists will be asked to come in to USA Hockey Arena and work through a sample script over the PA for involved USA Hockey staff.
